what i really want for christmas…

i’ve been browsing through our company’s online wishlist, trying to get an idea of what i would want to receive for our company’s Exchanging of Gifts. after posting my wishlist, it dawned on me that what i really, really, really want for Christmas… are the things that money cannot buy.

I wish that…
1. my family will have a long, healthy, relatively smooth, successful and happy life
…because if they’re happy, I’m happy
2. the people in my team now will still be the same people that I’ll be with for as long as I stay in the company
3. the Philippines will attain peace and prosperity (a very elusive dream, especially in the light of the relatively recent Glorietta explosion and Makati stand-off)
…so that there will be no need for people to find better opportunities in other countries
…so that Filipinos will no longer be discriminated against
4. no more pollution, over-population, resource, and social problems in the world
…so that everyone can finally be happy
5.  the endangered animals will no longer be endangered ( especially the dolphins  )
…so that someday, there will be no need for me to go to a far place just to see the cute dolphins

6. a self that is less prone to getting affected to things that are really beyond my control
…so that i’ll have less to worry about
