Xavier U ranks 2nd among top performing schools in Nursing Board Exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)  has finally released the results of the Philippine Nursing Board Exam held last December 2007. PRC also announced the top performing schools in last year’s Nursing Board Exam.

The top three performing schools in the December 2007 Nurse Licensure Examination are the following:

A. WITH 100 AND MORE EXAMINEES

1. Saint Louis University 144/146 99.00 %
2. Xavier University 229/233 98.00 %
3. Silliman University 312/321 97.00 %

B. WITH 30-99 EXAMINEES

1. Trinity University of Asia (Trinity – Quezon City) 40/41  98.00 %
2. Mindanao State University – Marawi City 74/76  97.00 %
    University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center 30/31  97.00 %
3. Palawan State University – P. Princesa 54/57  95.00 %

Though Xavier University didn’t do as well as last year by a very small margin (last year’s 100% passing rate versus this year’s 98% passing rate), kudos to my Alma Mater for making it to Top 2.

Congratulations also to the Xavier University nursing graduates-turned-licensed-nurses for a job well done.

Congratulations, too, to Ate Wax’s mother and the other examinees who passed the grueling nursing board exams!

To those who tried their best and didn’t reach the passing mark (like me who didn’t pass JLPT), hey, you tried your best. I’m sure that with God’s help you’ll do better next year…we’ll do better next year.

haaaay…

I heard from a reliable source that the JLPT results have already been distributed to the people in the Manila branch. I’m sure it won’t be long now before the people in the Cebu main office will also get their results. And that includes me.

Haaaaaaay. I wish I didn’t know about this. I’m now more conscious of the fact that the inevitable day will soon come– the day when our sensei will hand out to me the score report with the word “Failed” on it. 

Remaining tasks for the day

Inspired by the article, 20 Procrastination Hacks by Scott H. Young, I have decided to list down my remaining tasks for the day (or for the night, since we’re doing OT right now)

1. DD update
- 2 functions left, 1 flowchart each
- one last self-review before submission
- email to PL
- update: 61 pages of DD modified and submitted

2. Follow-up bugfix confirmation
- update: 1 bugfix confirmed but not yet closed, 1 bugfix not yet confirmed and closed

3. Optional: Update manual
- if can’t be finished today, ok if finished tomorrow

Things to do tomorrow:

1. Random testing
- setup test environment
- perform random testing that will test proper filtering, reception of multiple reply messages
2. Manual (if not finished today)
3. Attend review, 5:30pm
4. Do remaining laundry
5. Grocery
